Zinaida Ivashchenko

Zinaida Alekseevna Ivashchenko, 90, rural Seneca, MO, passed away May 8, 2025 at Freeman West Hospital after a sudden illness.

Zinaida was born April 7, 1935 in Kovrov, Russia the daughter of Alexey Vasilievic Kuznetov and Anna Pavlovna Kuznetsova. She was a graduate of Kovrov High School in 1952 and a graduate of Kovrov Mechanical College in 1958 with a Bachelor's Degree. Zinaida loved reading and art. She collected books on world art and knew about many artists around the world. Zinaida loved to lean about places and cultures of all the different countries and was very versed about the subject. She loved sewing and had a great affection for cats. Especially stray cats which she cared for in Ukraine. She deeply loved her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Zinaida was a Civilian Worker for the Soviet Union Military all her life working in aviation electronics. She was of the Orthodox faith.

Zinaida married Sergey Vladimirovich Ivashchenko June 24, 1960 and he preceded her in death January 10, 2008.

Survivors include one daughter Galina Kampling Baikova and husband Steve, Seneca, MO; one grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, May 16, 2025 at the Burkhart Cemetery, Racine MO, with Rev. Father Michael Kuzara officiating.

Arrangements under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
