Dale Clapp

William Dale Clapp passed into eternal rest July 19, 2026. He was born August 15, 1942 in Ottawa County, OK the son of Clark and Mildred (Roberts) Clapp and was a lifelong area resident.

Dale was no stranger to hard work. He enjoyed being outdoors working on the cattle farm. Dale formerly taught Agriculture in Urbanna, MO, was a cattle buyer for Hormel, work at the former BF Goodrich Plant in Miami, OK and Eagle Picher in Seneca, MO and running his Angus Cattle farm. He was a big contributor to the Baptist Children's Home in Madill, OK, donating cattle and hay to support them. Dale was a member of Southern Hill Baptist Church in Miami, OK which he also served as a Deacon for many years.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents Clark and Mildred Clapp, and one brother Ronald Clapp.

William Dale Clapp married Carol Massey June 15, 1963 in Wyandotte, OK and she survives.

Additional survivors include one son Jeff Clapp of Wyandotte, OK; one daughter, Charlotte Clapp, Owasso, OK; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Clapp, Fairland, OK and Jim Clapp, Miami, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 7pm, Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Seneca, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Southern Hill Baptist Church in Miami, OK with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Ottawa Indian Cemetery with Dustin Clapp, Josh Clapp, Colton Jaeger, Caden Clapp,, James Lollis and Colten Allen serving as pallbearers.
