Virginia Violet Reed

Virginia Violet Reed, 90, Neosho, MO passed away July 18, 2020 at the Medical Lodge of Neosho after a long illness.
Virginia Violet McGuirk was born February 14, 1930 the daughter of Ernest and Violet Whitehead McGuirk. She formerly worked as a secretary for a college. Mr. Virginia did not like her name Violet and she would be sure to tell you just that. She loved dangly earrings, having her nails done, going to activities such as the ice cream social and playing bingo. She was most generally happy while living at Medical Lodge. During a bad storm when everyone was nervous and in the hallway, Ms. Virginia was calm and told a nurse all she wanted was a cup of coffee. Virginia loved Christmas and want to celebrate it all year.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Tommy McGuirk and one sister Dorothy Kyler.
She is survived by Paulette Eby and Laurie Ritchey and a host of extended family.
The body was taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca and no services are planned at this time.
