Tommy L. Harlen Sr., 82, Neosho, Mo, passed into eternal rest January 21, 2026 at the Seneca House Nursing Home after a long illness.
Tommy Lee Harlen was born February 8, 1943 in Webb City, MO the son of Willard and Adaline (Lewis) Harlen. He had lived in the area most of his life. He served in the National Guard at Fort Leonardwood and loved his country. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Tommy was a member of the Apostolic Light House Church in Neosho, MO for 24 years. He owned and operated Harlen's Drywall and Painting. He used his talents over the years helping many churches throughout the country.
Tommy Lee Harlen married Arva Butler June 2, 1972 in Joplin, MO and she survives.
Additional survivors include his children, Tommy Harlen and wife Debbie, Grove, OK, Mike Harlen and wife Paula, Carterville, MO, Lora Roach and husband Eddy, Seneca, MO, Audri Ellcey and husband Caleb, Jennings, LA and Elizabeth Touchstone and husband Caleb, Vandor, LA; siblings, Dorothy Harlen, Glenda Pollard, Mary Harlen, Richard Harlen, Raymond Harlen and Larry Harlen; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Lela and Lilly, 1 brother, Jack; 1 daughter, Arava and 1 son Daniel.
The family will receive friends Noon to 1PM, Tuesday, January. 27, 2026 Apostolic Light House Church in Neosho, MO.
Graveside services will follow the visitation at 2:00pm at the Burkhart Cemetery with Kelly Sampson, Kaleb Sampson and David Butler officiating. Eddy Roach, Daniel Roach, Simeon Roach, Mike Harlen, Tommy Harlen and Charlie Triplett will serve as pallbearers.
