Theda Thomas

Theda Irlene Thomas, 91, Grove, Ok passed into eternal rest at 6:45 AM, July 23, 2014 at the Grove Nursing Center in Grove, OK after an illness.   Theda Irlene Gaston was born May 29, 1923 in Eunice, MO the daughter of John and Mary (Lewis) Gaston.  She worked for the Brown Shoe Company and was a member of the Eastside Assembly of God.   Theda married Floy Smith in 1944 in Eunice, MO and he preceded her in death. In 1980 she married James Thomas in Mountain Grove, MO and he preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Marvin Smith, Osage Beach, MO; Two grandchildren and Three great-grandchildren.   Theda was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Gaston; four brothers, Frank Gaston in 2007, Roy Gaston in 2000, George Gaston in 2002 and Murl Gaston in 1975 and one sister, Velma Rochelle in 2007.   Graveside service will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Big Creek Cemetery south east of Huston, MO with Rev. Danny Burleson officiating.   The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.
