Obituary for Terry E. Lankford

Terry E. Lankford, 63, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest June 15, 2012 at his home in Seneca following a long illness.  Terry Elvin Lankford was born March 5, 1949 in Seneca, MO the son of Gerald and Jewel (Wilson) Lankford.  Terry had attended MSSC Law Enforcement Academy had worked for both the Newton County Sheriff’s Office and the Newton County Prosecutor’s Office as an investigator. He was a Mason, Shriner, a member of the Patriot Guard and served on the Seneca School Board, he was a past President of the Seneca Athletic Club and a baseball coach.  Terry was a Army Veteran serving his country during Viet Nam War and a member of Hottel Springs Church of Christ.   Terry married Carol Ann Broderick June 5, 1970 in Seneca, MO and she survives.  Additional survivors include one son, Matthew E. Lankford and wife Sarah, Webb City; one daughter Michelle R. (Lankford) Wilcox and husband Jeff, Joplin; two brothers Don Lankford and Gerald Dean Lankford both of Seneca; three sisters, Joyce Kohler, Judy Miller and Sandra Rayborn all of Seneca; 5 grandchildren and host of extended family and friends.  Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Seneca Church of Christ with Truman Brady officiating.  Burial will be in the Thompson Grove Cemetery with Randy Fisher, Earl Anderson, Bill Dobbs, Scott Watson, Mark Bennett and Mike White serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 6pm to 7pm Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
