Terry Butterfield

Terry L. Butterfield, 69, Wyandotte, OK passed into eternal rest at 10:02 pm, September 6, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.   Terry Lynn Butterfield was born December 16, 1946 in Seneca, MO the son of Leonard and Ruth (Seig) Butterfield. Terry was a US Army Veteran serving in the Viet Nam War.  He formerly worked at the BF Goodrich Plant in Miami, OK.  He served on the Wyandotte Fire Department, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department and Wyandotte Police Department.  Terry was instrumental in organizing the Twin Bridges State Park “Park of Lights” where worked as a Park Ranger.   Terry L. Butterfield married Linda Brooks February 26, 1965 in Wyandotte, OK and she survives.   Additional survivors include children; Jason Butterfield and wife Melinda, Bartlesville, OK, Wayne Butterfield and wife Kami, Baxter Springs, KS, Penny Powell, Wyandotte and Adam Butterfield and friend Becca Rexwinkle, Wyandotte; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry, Ray Gene, Virginia and Carolyn.   Terry was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Ruth and one sister Jo Ann.   A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Twin Bridges State Park west of Wyandotte, with Rev. Danny Burleson officiating.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Terry’s name at the Bank of Wyandotte.     The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
