Obituary for Stanley Snow

Stanley E. Snow   Stanley Snow, 66, fought a good fight and finished his race early Sunday morning, November 6, 2011, at his home just outside of Seneca, MO.     Stanley Earl Snow was born to Edward and Irene (Macy) Snow on August 29, 1945, in Neosho, Mo.  He, along with his brothers and sister, was raised in the country around Racine, Mo, appreciating a loving family while learning the values of honesty, humor, and hard work.  These ideals served him well as he worked at the B.F. Goodrich plant in Miami, OK, for 20 years.  After the plant closed, he started a construction and remodeling business of his own through which he steadfastly served the community he loved for the last 25 years.  Stanley was also a deacon for Swars Prairie Church of Christ, an office he upheld with the same humble spirit and dedication he showed in every aspect of his life.  On August 9, 1963, he married his best friend, Twyla Reed, in Seneca, Mo.  For the next 48 years, they raised their three children, worked hard in their community, worshipped God together, and enjoyed every moment with their grandchildren.  Their home has always been known as a place overflowing with love, laughter, and hospitality.       Stanley leaves behind his beloved wife and his children:  Greg and Melissa Snow, Diamond, MO; Shael Snow, Kansas City, MO; and Eddie and Laura Snow, Nixa, MO.  He will be greatly missed by the grandchildren he loved to spoil:  Spencer and Courtney Snow, Grand Rapids, MI; Hannah Snow, Diamond, MO; and Tucker, Savannah, and Emma Snow, Nixa, MO.  Stanley also leaves behind two brothers and a sister:  Steve and Andrea Snow, Wylie, TX; Bill and Susan Snow, Neosho, MO; and Susan and Rex Werries, Neosho, MO; as well as a host of additional relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick Snow.   Stanley was both a light to the world and a steady source of strength to all who knew him.  He will be greatly missed by all.  Funeral Services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Seneca Church of Christ with Gayle West officiating. Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Church of Christ Cemetery.  Friends may call upon the family at the family home.
