Sandra Griggs

Sandra Lou (Smith) Griggs, age 71 of Miami, OK was born to Kenneth and Hazel Smith on October 3, 1945 and met her Lord with open arms on April 10, 2017.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  Sandra lived all of her life in Oklahoma where she worked and retired from Lakeland Office Systems in Miami.  She was an avid reader who also enjoyed rodeo and vacationing with her husband Marvin but first and foremost was a loving and caring person who’s Lord, family, and friends meant everything to her.  Preceding her in death were her husband, Marvin Griggs, her daughter, Carla Ward, and her parents Kenneth and Hazel Smith.   Survivors include one son, Greg Renfro of Commerce, step-daughter, Robin Glenn of Oklahoma City, one brother, Harold Smith of Wyandotte, one sister, Beverly Kerns of Miami; 3 grandchildren – Clint Ward of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Rachel Renfro of Miami, and Chris Griggs of Del City. In addition, she was blessed with 3 great-grandchildren; Brooklyn Horn of Commerce, Taegan Carrick of Miami, Grayson Griggs of Del City, nephews, nieces and her dear lifetime friend Patti Bakos.    Services to honor Sandra’s life are scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2017 at 10:00 am at her home church, the Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church in Miami, OK with Pastor Mike Stephens officiating. A committal service will follow at the Seneca, MO cemetery with Rachel Renfro, Mike Smith, Clint Ward, Chris Griggs, Russell Glenn and Kyle Sommer serving as pallbearers.
