Roy (Pops) Ritter

Roy F. Ritter, 83, Seneca, MO. passed away May 31, 2025 at his daughter's home in Seneca, MO surrounded by his family after losing his battle to cancer.

Roy Fred Ritter was born February 13, 1942 in Wyandotte, OK the son of Drue and Irene (Shoemaker) Ritter. Roy was born seven minutes behind his twin brother Ray. Roy had lived in the area all his life. He worked for Eagle Pitcher Industries in Joplin, MO for 43 years retiring in 2004. Roy greatest love was his family and his greatest enjoyment was spending time with them. Roy also loved fishing, camping and being outdoors. He took great pride in taking care of his farm keeping it immaculate.

Roy's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Roy (Pops) for loving his family so well during his life. Let it be known that your legacy Pops, will live on throughout the generations to come.

Survivors include Betty Ritter mother of his children; one daughter LeAnn Martin and husband Steve; one son Randal Ritter and wife Carolyn all of Seneca; 5 grandchildren, Allissa Collinsworth and husband Byron, Levi Evans, Chelsey Burleson, Hailey Bowman and husband Melvin and MaKenzie Ritter; 9 great-grandchildren; Brothers Ray Ritter and G.D. Ritter and wife Carolyn; one sister Shirley Addington all of Seneca and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Drue and Irene Ritter, one brother, Gary Ritter and one sister Beulah Farmer.

The family will receive Friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, June 5, 2025 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am, June 6, 2025 at the Seneca Cemetery with Michael Greenwood officiating.
