Roy Lee Hoover

Roy Lee Hoover, 84, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest, Monday June 15, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

Roy Lee Hoover was born July 9, 1941 in Neosho, MO the son of Oran Roland Hoover and Lora Belle (Horton) Hoover. Roy was a life long area resident. He was a 1959 graduate of Seneca High School. He loved dancing, squirrel hunting, quail hunting and animals, especially his hunting dogs. Roy was a member of the 203rd National Guard in Joplin, MO. He worked at the former BF Goodrich plant in Miami, OK and after it's shut down he went to work at Blitz USA in Miami until retiring in 1999. Roy formerly served as Deacon at Bethel Baptist Church and currently was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Roy Lee Hoover married Joyce Foster, April 28, 1966 and she preceded him in death March 28, 1993. Roy was also preceded in death by his parents, Oran and Lora Hoover, his brother, Dean Hoover, his sister Margie Drake and great-grandson Avery Edwards.

Roy Lee Hoover married Donna Mae McKinney-Taylor, December 17, 1994 and she survives. Also surviving is one daughter Shelly VanSandt and husband Bobby, Miami, OK; one sister, Betty Caudle, Seminole, TX; 4 grandchildren, Josh Edwards, Alyssa VanSandt, Macey VanSandt and Ramsee VanSandt; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Seneca Cemetery, Seneca, MO.
