Rosezell Laymon, 94, South West City, MO, passed away May 1, 2026 at the Seneca House Nursing Home after an illness.
Rosezell Williams was born February 19, 1932 McElhany, MO one of six children of Henry A. and Bertha E. (West) Williams. She grew up in Bethpage and Powell, MO and enjoyed swimming in Little Sugar Creek. She was a farmers daughter and worked hard on the family farm. Rose as most people called her loved being a mother of 16 children and step children. Rose was know as mom to all of them. She loved her (over 100) grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Rose spent time gardening, cooking and taking care of her family. Curator of Greenwood Community Church over 20 years. She was devoted in taking care of the church. Rose retired from the USDA where she worked as an inspector.
Rosezell was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Geniva Horton, Lola Mae Shocley, Martha Raley, Arther Williams and Beverly Roberts; her husbands, Paul Clutter, Paul Hathcock, Raymond Pace, Paul Height and Edward Laymon; son Michael Clutter, Albert Laymon, Edna Laymon and Joyce Laugh and several grandchildren.
Survivors include; children Sandra Sue Honeycutt, Aaron Hathcock, Neontha Springfield, Loretta Jenkins, Mark Laymon, Marcy Barrett, Jeannie Dry, Ted Laymon, Terri Laymon, Joan Sanders and Lillian Taylor; one brother, Elmer Williams; over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and a host of extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, May 11, 2026 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO with Pastor James Wonders officiating.
Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Longview, MO with family will sereve as pallbearers.
