Richard Fort

Richard S. Fort, 89, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 6:30 AM, January 23, 2012 at the Seneca House Nursing Home after a long illness.    Richard S. Fort was born Aug. 27, 1922 in Joplin, MO the son of Harry and Florence (Shaffer) Fort.  George served his county in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin. Richard formerly worked as a manger for Safeway in Kansas City in later years he owned and operated Ray’s Cafe’ in Carthage, MO.    He married Mary Elizabeth Bennett and she survives. The body has been taken for cremation and no services are planed.
