Rex Ardell
Greenwood
January 15, 1937 – April 9, 2026
Rex Ardell Greenwood passed away surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 89 years old leaving behind a legacy of strength, faith, and unforgettable memories.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Greenwood, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Rex was a proud father to four children: Michael Greenwood, Randal Greenwood, Tamara Simmons, Malissa Tuggle, and two daughter in-laws Mendy Greenwood and Shelly Greenwood and two son in-laws Greg Tuggle and Sam Simmons
He was a cherished grandfather to 13 grandchildren Brian Greenwood, Scott Greenwood, Michaela Shockley, Victoria Tyler, Mark Greenwood, Tyler Tuggle Pypher Blair Sean Greenwood, Zachary Leal, Holly Wren, Travis Greenwood, Camaron Cotton,and Marina Graciano
He was also blessed with 22 great grandchildren. And a host of nephews and nieces.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents Fred Greenwood and Paula Greenwood
And three sisters Vyda Walter's Almeda Loving and Betty Thomas also four brothers Fred Buddy Greenwood, Jimmy Greewood, Tom Greenwood, Bobby Greenwood and a great grandson Blake Ardell Leal
Rex was born in Ardmore Oklahoma and met his Wife Patricia in Tracy California they moved to Neosho Mo and started their family. He was the founding owner of Greenwood Painting and know for his quality of work and honesty. He took great pride in his work
Rex had a deep love travel and lived life on his own terms. A true Maverick in spirit. He was a man of faith, a follower of God, not man, and he carried that belief with him throughout his life.
He will be remembered as a gifted storyteller, someone who could capture the hearts and imaginations of his grandchildren with every tell he told. His wisdom, humor and presence will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Rex's life was a testament to love, faith and family, and his legacy will live on and all who knew and loved him.

The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
