Reva Cummings

Reva June Cummings, 71, Miami, OK, passed into eternal rest at 11:00 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Osborn Health Care and Rehab in Miami, OK after an illness.  Reva June Cummings was born July 25, 1940 in Monarch, OK the daughter of Byrl and Dora (Herndon) Akers. Reva was a homemaker and had lived in the area most of her life. She had an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and was a member of the Hart Assembly of God Church, Hart, MO.  Reva married Bill Cummings in Miami, OK, Aug. 5, 1964 and he survives.  Additional survivors include her step-mother Shorty Akers, Miami, OK; one daughter, Beverly (Howell) Stumler, Charlotte, NC; two step-daughters, Karen Rice, Springfield, MO and Marilyn Cummings, Springfield, MO; one step-son, Rusty Cummings, Kansas City, MO; one brother, Lonnie Akers, Richmond, MO; one step-brother, Kevin Horn, Miami, OK; one sister Corena  Smith,  Clinton, MO; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by Ashleigh, Karah, Kristin, Ian and Erin.   She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Howell; one grandson, Steven Goforth, two brothers, Duane Akers and Gary Akers and one sister, LaVerna Mac.   Graveside services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Seneca Cemetery, West Seneca, OK with Rev. Roy Scribner officiating.  Friends may call on the family from 5 to 6 PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the funeral home.
