Ramona Atkinson

Ramona "GA" Atkinson, 95, Miami, OK passed into eternal rest June 12, 2014 at her home in Miami after an extended illness surrounded by her loving family. Ramona Geraldine Buzzard was born July 10, 1918 in Seneca, MO the daughter of Johnnie K. and Nellie P. (Morgan) Buzzard.  Ramona was a home maker and of the Baptist faith. She married William C. Atkinson February 12, 1939 and he preceded her in death November 19, 1987. Survivors include one daughter Sandra Sue McCorkell and husband Robert, Miami; two grandchildren, Ronald McCorkell and Kim Gillmore, Miami and Rhonda Snow and husband John, Miami; one great-grandson, Mathew Snow, Miami; one brother, Max Buzzard and wife Harolyn, Miami; one nephew Todd Buzzard and one niece, Jani Testerman. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Nellie Buzzard, her husband W.C. "Bill" Atkinson; two sisters, Lorene Cottrell and Jewel Marie Buzzard one sister-in-law Shirley Buzzard. Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Seneca Cemetery with Dr. J. Fulton Amonette officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald McCorkell, Robert McCorkell, Matthew Snow, John Snow, Corky Atkinson and Duane Morgan.
