David Lefon, 76, of Seneca, MO, passed peacefully at home in his sleep on June 24, 2025. Paul David Lefon was born on June 7, 1949 in Cushing, OK, the son of Paul Lefon and Dorothy Yates.
In his younger years, David worked multiple construction jobs as a Welder. He continued a lifelong love of metallurgy. "Papa Dave" as he was known by his grandchildren, was a teacher at heart; from teaching local Hunter's Safety courses to teaching his grandchildren everything from how to leather stitch to how to shoot, he loved to share his passions with others. He enjoyed building muzzleloaders, talking history, reading, and gardening. He was a member of the Swars Prairie Baptist Church. His favorite thing in the world was spending time with his wife, Linetta, and their animals in their cozy, country home.
Paul David Lefon was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Lefon and Dorothy Yates Payne; his two siblings, Leo Payne and Peggy Miller; and his grandson, Timothy Walker Larimore.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Linetta Lefon, and his three children: Sue Neal Paquet and husband Gregory Paquet of McKinney, TX; Dawn Neal of Klamath Falls, OR; Laney Neal and wife Carol Neal of Racine, MO; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and close friends.
The family will hold a Memorial Service, followed by a visitation, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 at Swars Prairie Baptist Church, led by their pastor Jarel Burnside.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Swars Prairie Baptist Church to honor David's memory.
