Obituary for Norma Lee Leader

Norma Lee Leader, 89, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest at 5:00 am, July 26, 2015 at the Seneca House Nursing Home after a long illness. Norma Lee Mahan was born May 21, 1926 in Stella, MO the daughter of Loy and Ethel Nina (Linton) Mahan. Norma graduated from High School in Jane, MO in 1943. Norma formerly taught Elementary School for three years in McDonald County. She was a home maker and an Avon Representative. Norma was life time member of the Seneca Christian Church. Norma Lee Mahan married Bill Leader October 21, 1944 in Bentonville, AR and he survives.   Additional survivors include three daughters, Connie Smith and husband Charlie, Seneca, MO, Linda Bormaster and husband Rick, Joplin, MO and Debbie Johnson and husband Jim, Afton, OK; one brother, Harold Mahan, Miami, OK; one sister, Leona Reinhard, Columbus, OH; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Armond Mahan and Wayne Mahan; one sister, Mona Lou Pogue and one grandson Mathew James Johnson.  The family will receive friends July 29, 2015 from 10 am to 11am at the Seneca Christian Church with  funeral services starting at 11:00 AM with Doug Lawson and Truman Brady officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.  Arrangements under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Seneca Christian Church Building Fund in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
