Naomi “Muggy” Jean Malone, 84, Seneca, Mo., passed into eternal rest at 11:10 p.m. April 10, 2008, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, after a sudden illness. Naomi Jean Malone was born Jan. 5, 1924, in Seneca, the daughter of Truman and Lena (Holden) Brady. Muggy was a lifelong resident of Seneca, a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Seneca. Muggy married Harry Malone in Miami, Okla., in 1945. He preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1994. Survivors include three sons, Doug Malone, Miami, Feryl Malone, Grove, and Teryl Malone, Seneca; one daughter, Gayla Osborn, Wyandotte; four brothers, Kenneth “Kob” Brady, Bill Brady, Jim Brady, all of Seneca, and Jerry Brady, Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Burnice Kelly, Seneca; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Muggy was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Brady and Francis Brady; and one sister, Wanda Montgomery. Funeral services under the personal care of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 14, at the First Baptist Church in Seneca, with Truman Brady and Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with grandsons, Scott Malone, Brent Malone, Drew Osborn, Josh Hanes, Jerrod Fuser and Chad Goodson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the funeral home. The family will be at Muggy's home.
