Mary M. DeFoe, 79, Joplin, MO passed away June 11, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin after an illness.
Mary M. Wright was born June 10, 1940 in Melrose, IA the daughter of Alfred E. and Fern E. (Platt) Wright. Mary helped her husband David DeFoe driving trucks. Mary was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Seneca, MO.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband David DeFoe.
Survivors include one daughter, Laurie Clark, Joplin; one son, Ernie Owen, Aplington, IA; step children, Peggy Zanowick, Rod DeFoe, Chris DeFoe and Tammy Rubio and a host of grandchildren and her church family at Bethel Baptist Church.
The body has been taken for cremation and a Celebration Of Life Service will be held at a later date at the Bethel Baptist Church north of Seneca.
