Lila Boyd

Lila Lee Boyd, 80, Joplin, MO, passed into eternal rest at 2:20 PM, October 14, 2011 at the Galena Nursing Center after a long illness.  Lila Lee Boyd was born Jan. 31, 1931 in Nashville, KS the daughter of Olen F. and Lulu Carrie (Preston) Boyd. Lila taught school in Newton County for 10 years then taught in Joplin Public Schools for 30 years.  Lila was a member of Blendville Christian Church.  Lila is survived by one brother Don Boyd, Cabot, Ark; one sister, Joan Boyd, Joplin, MO and a host of extended family and friends.   Graveside services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 3:30 PM, Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Seneca Cemetery with Doug Lawson officiating.  The casket will remain closed at all times.Memorial contributions can be made to Show Me Christian Youth Home in care of  the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home PO Box 380 Seneca, MO 64865
