Leonard Ray Arehart

Leonard R. Arehart Sr., 86, Carterville, MO, passed away February 15, 2026 at Aspire Senior Living in Carthage, MO after an illness.

Leonard Ray Arehart Sr. was born September 11, 1939 in Seneca, MO the son of Lawrence and Stella (Barker) Arehart. He had lived in the area most all of his life. Leonard worked for Mattes Brothers Construction as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Leonard loved Motorcycles and traveling down the road on his Goldwing. He loved spending time at the lake boating and water sports.

Leonard was preceded by his parents, Lawrence and Stella Arehart; siblings, Gary Wayne (Jack) Arehart, Lavita McCloud, Merna Pickett, Joann Carpenter, Brent Arehart, Jerry Arehart, Benny Arehart, Kent Arehart; step sister, Della Arehart; and a brother-in-law's, R.E. Wolfe, Mike McCloud and Rex Handley.

Survivors include his wife Judy Arehart; children Lisa Arehart, Rhonda Arehart and Leonard Arehart Jr and wife Christina; his siblings Norma Wolfe, Deolores Handley and Larry Arehart; grandchildren; Venessa, Roseanna, Doretta, Gina, Syrenia, Zach, Megan, Nevaeh; 11 great-grancchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the Campbell-Biddeocme Funeral Home Chapel with Rod VanGorkom officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca with Zach Patterson, Ken Mattice, James Pickett, Randy Pickett, Rickey Arehart and Nicholas Young serving as pallbearers.
