Lenora Maye Wyrick, 82, Joplin, MO passed into eternal rest February 25, 2024 at Joplin Health Care after a long illness.
Lenora Maye Greninger was born September 8, 1941 in Joplin, MO the daughter of William (Bill) and Delce (Branham) Greninger. Lenora was a lifelong area resident. She went to Greenwood School and then to High School at Seneca. Lenora formerly worked as a cook for Nickerson Farms in Loma Linda and at the Gazebo in Joplin and several other restaurants in the area. She enjoyed to sew, garden, cook and she was known for her homemade pies and bread.
Lenora Maye Greninger married Sonny Wyrick 1967 and preceded her in death April 6, 2011. She was also preceeded in death by her parents; one sister, Frances Thouvenell; two brothers, Gerald and Richard Greninger.
Survivors include four daughters; Mary Smith, Diamond, MO, Jeanne Hubert and Rusty, Shawnee, OK, Michele Hefley and Wes, Cleveland, OK, Lola Mitchell and Billy Jack, Yuma, AZ; two sons, Lewis Cheek, Joplin, MO and Doug Cheek, Joplin, MO; one sister, Elane Daffin, Trinity, TX; two brother Bill Greninger, Joplin, MO and Leon Greninger, Joplin, MO; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home with Chris Wyrick officiating.
