Lela Burkhart

Lela Josephine Burkhart, 85, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 4:25 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Granby House Nursing Home after a long illness.  Lela Josephine Clark was born February 3, 1927 in Neosho, MO the daughter of George W. and Orpha (Murray) Clark. Lela was a homemaker and a member of the original Racine Baptist Church.  She married Arnold H. Burkhart December 1, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 2006.  Survivors include two daughters, Donna L. Crumbliss and husband Wayne, Neosho and Christina J. Triplett and husband Danny, Seneca; two sisters, Mae Owens, Neosho and Bonnie Pennington, San Leandro, CA; 4 granddaughters, Melissa Berry, Omaha, NE, Amy Crumbliss, St. Louis, MO, Amanda Triplett, Seneca and Stacie Triplett, Seneca.Lela was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and one grandson, Aaron Crumbliss.  Graveside services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Burkhart Cemetery, Racine, MO, with Melvin Stapp officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 16, 2012 at the funeral home.
