Johnnie L. Cox, 76, Grove, OK, passed away January 2, 2022 at his home after a long illness.
Johnnie Len Cox was born July 8, 1945 in Commerce, OK. John attended Seneca High School and grew up working hard bucking hay and delivering milk. He loved fishing, farming, being outdoors, traveling, horses, rodeos and spending time with his daughter and wife. John owned and operated OK Disposal from 1998 to 2019. He attended Faith Assembly of God in Wyandotte, OK.
Johnnie L. Cox married Debra Meeuws October 9, 1988 in Long Island, NY and she survives.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Shelby Cox Smith and husband Jared, Cisco, TX; siblings, Tom Cox and wife Jeanie, Seneca, MO, Sharon Duplessis, Mesquite, TX, Vivian Vance, rural Joplin, Trina Creekmore, rural Joplin, Suzan Williams and husband Jerry Forney, TX and Joy Gourd, rural Wyandotte, OK and a host of friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents Flow Belle Cox and her husband and his brother David Cox.
The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO. The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11:00am, January 8, 2022 at Faith Assembly of God in Wyandotte, OK, with Gary Rhoades officiating.
