John Wiebe

December 2, 1939 — June 21, 2023

John Leroy Wiebe was the oldest of 10 children and was born December 2nd, 1939 in Deer Park, Washington to John and Marie Wiebe of Bellingham, Washington. He was a long-time resident of Seneca, Missouri. John went to his final resting place 10:48 am Wednesday June 21st, 2023 at Mercy Hospital with his grandson Clayton Daniel Williams at his side.

John was a very loved son, brother, father, grandpa, great grandpa and friend. He served in the United States Army as a Driver and was very proud of his Service. He was a retired truck driver, and all he needed to know was what mile marker you just passed, and he could tell you exactly where you were at. He was always good for a laugh and his joke of the day was sure to make you chuckle. You could often find him drinking coffee at the feed store with his buddies, at the barber shooting the breeze, or listening to his southern gospel music in his recliner. You would never find him without a cup of coffee, and his dog Sassy. Everyone knew John, from the workers at Subway, to the attendants at the gas station, and the employees of his favorite place, Walmart. They always greeted him with a smile, and a treat for sassy. When you saw a grin on his face, it's safe to say he was up to some kind of mischief. He loved his gadgets, no one owned more flashlights, lighters, travel coffee cups, or pockets knives. If you needed batteries, he probably had 5 packs on hand. John was a faithful friend to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. And truly enjoyed inspiring a laugh in people. He touched many lives of a great many people and will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Wiebe and two sons Daniel and Leroy Wiebe. His brother Jerry Wiebe of Hayfork, California. His sisters Marilyn Nelson of Mesa, Arizona, and Joanne Cadman of Bellingham, Washington.

He is survived by his brothers Rick and Ron Wiebe of Bellingham, Washington, Hank Wiebe of Coulee City, Washington, sisters Ruth Eldridge of Kendall, Washington and Susan Long of Coos Bay, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews; His daughter Kathryn Bond of Seneca, Missouri His son Garth Wiebe of Celeste, Texas and his son John Conrad Wiebe of Meridian, Mississippi; his grandchildren Clayton Williams of Seneca Missouri, Chantel Williams of Joplin, Missouri. Kyle and Kevin Wiebe of Wichita, Kansas. John and Jacob Wiebe of Meridian, Mississippi, Coby and Miranda Wiebe of Celeste, Texas; his great grandchildren Carter Williams, Cooper Reitz, Athena Williams, Hailee Wales, Eli Wales, and Addyson Williams of Seneca, Missouri, Luna and Daniel Wiebe, of Wichita Kansas, and Kori and Kendal Wiebe of Meridian, Mississippi, and many dear friends and loved ones.

John was thankful for Gods forgiveness and we are thankful for his heavenly home where he now resides.
