Obituary for Joan Morrin

Joan R. Morin, 76, Seneca, Mo. passed into eternal rest at 10:50 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St Johns Mercy in Springfield, MO after a long illness. Joan Ruth Morin was born April 7, 1935 in Racine, WI the daughter of William and Lucy (Denn) Jones. Joan was a manager of Gas-N-Snack II in Seneca, MO and was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Seneca. She loved to read and do cross-word puzzles.
Joan is survived by one son, Derek Morin and wife June, Wentworth, MO; four daughters, Barbara Daniel, Alexandria, VA, Kathleen McTaggart, Joplin, Sandra Whitehead and husband Nick, Seneca and Diana Huhn and husband John, Springfield; one brother, Robert L. Jones and wife Gerry, Hernando, FL; 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Joan was preceded in death by one son Tommy Morin and a set of twins Mary and Margaret Morin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the St Mary Catholic Church with Rev Michael Do Van Quang officiating. Burial will be in the St Mary Catholic Cemetery with Brian McTaggart, Jacob Morin, Matt Clark, Jake Fanning, Adam McCall and Nicholas Pollema serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Yust, Kenny Rogers, Mike Kelly, Sid Poor, Todd Rogers, Ryan Rogers and Brian Roark.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Seneca, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the National Adult Literacy Association in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
