Jimmy D. Farmer, 66, Seneca, MO, passed away December 28, 2025 after a sudden illness.
Jimmy Dewayne Farmer was born July 8, 1959 in Stella, MO the son of Rev. Wilmer (Bud) Farmer and Lavern (Workman) Farmer. Jimmy had lived in the area all his life. He formerly worked as a truck driver for Lewis & Robey out of Butler, MO, Leggett & Platt in Joplin and for the Granby Telephone Company the past 18 years retiring in 2024. Jimmy loved the outdoors. He loved to fishing and hunting. He was a people person who never met a stranger. Jimmy was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a believer of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.
Jimmy D. Farmer married Terri Mahan July 7, 2006 in Miami, OK and she survives.
Additional survivors include one son Scott Allan Farmer and wife Stephanie, Wyandotte, OK; siblings; Sharon Moore, Seneca, Buddy Farmer, Diamond, Diana Schaefer, Anita Arthur and husband Jim, Joplin and John Farmer, Seneca; two grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Wilmer (Bud) Farmer and Lavern Farmer, two brothers Billy Farmer and Gary Farmer; and one brother-in-law Vic Moore.
The family will receive friends from Noon to 1pm, Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, January. 2, 2026 at the Kirk Cemetery with Bro. Kelly Sampson officiating. Pallbearers will be Bailey Farmer, Denny Farmer, Danny Farmer, Matt Stiver, Aaron Stiver and Corbin Stiver. Honorary Pallbearer will be Buddy Farmer.
