Obituary for Jimmie L. Moreland

Jimmie L. Moreland, 80, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 4:50 AM, May 29, 2014   at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. Jimmie Lee Moreland was born July 28, 1933 in Locust Grove, OK the son of Arnold and Pearl (Clarkson)  Moreland.  Jimmie retired from the former B.F. Goodrich Plant in Miami, OK. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a 50 year member of the Neosho Masonic Lodge #247 and of the York Rite.  He served as a Past Master and was a member of the Red Cross of Constantine. Jimmie officiated over 100 Masonic Funeral Rites.  He was a Past Patron of the order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Hottel Springs Church of Christ.   Jimmie L. Moreland married Sandra J. Ledford October 1, 1955 in Treece, KS and she survives.   Additional survivors include two daughters, Debbie Kelley and husband Stan, Cassville, MO and Kathy Pogue and husband Ronnie, Seneca, MO; 7 grandchildren Stacy Haddock, Matt Kelley, Mark Kelley, Eric Lankford, Brent Lankford, Scott Pogue and Sarah Sonis; 11 great-grandchildren, Avery Haddock, Haylee Kelley, Camden Kelley, Cheney Kelley, Ella Kelley, Harper Lankford, Hollis Lankford, Dugan Pogue, Abram Pogue, Gracin Sonis and Titus Sonis; one brother, Arnold Moreland Jr. and wife Fae Ann, Neosho; one sister, Alice Moreland, Aurora, MO and a host of friends.  Jimmie was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Stark his parents Arnold and Pearl Moreland; and one brother Roy Moreland.  Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Hottel Springs Church of Christ with Lawrence Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with Eric Lankford, Brent Lankford, Scott Pogue, Matt Kelley, Mark Kelley and Shannon Haddock serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm Saturday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Hottel Springs Church of Christ Building Fund in Care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home PO Box 380 Seneca, MO 64865.
