Jean Giddens

Jean Elaine Giddens, 75, Joplin, MO, passed into eternal rest July 25, 2025 at Freeman West Hospital after an illness.

Jean Elaine Pickle was born August 2, 1949 in Parkville, MO the daughter of Hester and Oneida (Seyler) Pickle. She had lived in the area five years moving from Parsons, KS. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, going movies, playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Jean E. Pickle married Jerry Giddens June 15, 1990 in Miami, OK and he survives.

Additional survivors include; one son, Kyle Wilkins and wife Susan, Seneca; one daughter, Terri Strait and husband Wendell, Carthage, MO; one half sister Rosie Mein, Pittsburgh, KS; grandsons, Brandon Wilkins, Ethan Wilkins and Matthew Strait; granddaughters, Megan Strawther, Hayli Lopez; Great-grandchildren, Carson Means, Carter Means, Bodie Strawther and Reed Wayne Strait who is on his way, and a host of family and friends.

The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 10:30am, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the Royal Heights Methodist Church in Joplin, MO with Steve Thomas officiating.
