Glenda D. Triplett

Glenda D. Triplett, 88, Racine, MO, passed into eternal rest July 27, 2026 at her home after an illness.

Glenda Dolores Linthicum was born September 6, 1937 in Perkinston, Mississippi the daughter of Herbert Simpson Linthicum and Marandia Burnett (Bond) Linthicum. She lived in Mississippi until moving to the area in 1990. Glenda loved traveling, children, her church and helping expecting mothers deliver their precious gifts from God. She was a true servant to all, and took care of many over the years. Glenda was a faithful member of the Racine Apostolic Church. She loved her church and served where ever she was needed.

Glenda Dolores Linthicum married James Earl Harris July 17, 1954 in Biloxi, MS and he preceded her in death July 18, 1990. Glenda married James Wesley Triplett December 30, 2000 in Racine, MO and he preceded her in death October 15, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Wallace Linthicum and Vanga Tickell.

Survivors include her children; Shannon Sumrall and husband Randy, Mark Harris and wife Kathy, Kelly Hicks and husband Danny, Valiena Zumwalt and husband Dan, Daniel Harris and wife Cheri, Bryan Harris and wife Leslie, Stephen Harris and wife Kobe and Candice Griffith; 24 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Roddy and Aubrey Linthicum and wife Ouida; a host of extend family, friends and church family.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 pm, Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the Racine Apostolic Church. Following the visitation funeral services will be held with Bro. Steve Epley Officiating.

Burial will be Friday, July 31, 2026 in Laurel, MS in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Glenda will be laid to rest next to her first husband James Earl Harris.
