G. Robert McCorkell

G. Robert McCorkell, 83, Maimi, OK passed into eternal rest, October 24, 2023 at the Seneca Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

George Robert McCorkell was born December 4, 1939 in rural Ottawa County Oklahoma the son of George and Ramona (Nutting) McCorkell. Robert was a life long area resident. He graduated from Wyandotte High School. Robert worked for the former BF Goodrich Plant in Miami, Ok for 19 years and various jobs following the closing of the plant. Robert loved to fish, being outdoors, listening to Gaithers Gospel Music, Visiting, laughing and joking. He was a member of North West Baptist in Miami, OK where he attended over 40 years. Robert also served as a Deacon at North West Baptist.

G. Robert McCorkell married Sandra Sue Atkinson March 21, 1959 in Miami, OK and she survives.

Additional survivors include; one son Ron McCorkell and wife Kim, Miami, Ok; one daughter, Rhonda Snow and husband John, Miami, OK; one grandson, Matthew and wife Taylor, Miami, OK; siblings, Jimmy McCorkell and wife Connie, Miami, OK, Sue Williams, Miami, OK and Janet Praytor, Miami, OK and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Seneca Cemetery with John Crowley officiating.
