Funeral Services for Forrest Eugene “Gene” Robinson, Jr. of Seneca, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Rev. Sammy Lorton, pastor of Whiteside Holiness Church in Whiteside, MO and, Rev. Ivan Hazelwood will officiate with burial in Bethany Cemetery near Foley, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Robinson, Forrest Robinson IV, Ryan Crandall, Jessy Fisher, Corey Inman and Jason Calvin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dwanye Robinson, Dustin Robinson and the late Glenn Lorton.
Mr. Robinson, 78, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO. Born March 5, 1942 in Lincoln County, MO, he was the son of Rev. Forrest Eugene Robinson Sr and Helena Augusta (Vaughn) Robinson. Gene was united in marriage on April 4, 1961 in Foley to Norma Faye Harding. This union was blessed with seven children: Forrest III, Tammy, Justin, Lisa , Sarah and Dwayne, Dustin,
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Forrest Sr. and Helena Robinson; one son, Forrest Robinson III in 2001; and his beloved wife of 40 years, Norma Robinson, who died June 17, 2004.
Survivors include three sons: Justin Robinson of, Bartlesville, OK, Dwayne Robinson of Broken Arrow, OK, Dustin Robinson of Winfield, MO; three daughters: Tammy Thomas of Neosho, MO, Sarah Robinson of Seneca, MO and Lisa Croswell of Wyandotte, OK; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gene also leaves two sisters: Norma Jean Hamilton and her husband, John, of Fishers, IN and Sherry Lee Mendoza and Husband Buzz of Eolia, MO; one brother, Don Robert (Bob) Robinson and his wife, Mary of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
