Evelyn Decker

Evelyn Decker, 88, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 2:25 am, Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Seneca House Nursing Home after a long illness.    Evelyn Barton was born September 2, 1926 in Manes, MO the daughter of Henry and Lily Myrtle (Wade) Barton.  Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of Seneca First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.    Evelyn Barton married Doyle Decker December 1, 1945 in Springfield, MO and he preceded her in death June 12, 1992.    Survivors include five children; Malcolm Decker and wife Janis, Lebanon, MO, Marshall Decker and wife Sue, Nixa, MO, Laura Lynn and husband Keith, Bixby, OK, Dwight Decker and wife Kathy, Holden, MO and Eric Decker, Seneca; 8 grandchildren, Matthew Decker, Carrie Schuenemeyer, Jennifer Pace, Chris Decker, Jordan Lynn, Cory Lynn, Larissa Lynn and Aspen Mullins; 7 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Barton, Lynchburg, MO; three sisters, Artie Patterson, Lebanon, MO, Carol Tunison and husband Richard, Charlevoix, MI and Clella Rhea, Willard, MO.    Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lily Barton; her husband Doyle Decker and four brothers, Burl Barton, Larry Barton, Merlin Barton and Ronald Barton.    Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Seneca with Rev. Aaron Weibel and Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery.    The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM prior to funeral services.    In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
