E. Sue Fansler

April 30, 1936 — August 6, 2021

E. Sue Fansler, a longtime resident of Miami, passed on Friday August 6th with family by her side at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, of a non-COVID illness.

Sue was born to Ola (Crowder) and Bert Maynard on April 30, 1936 in the Turkey Ford, Oklahoma area.

Sue and Robert "Bob" C. Fansler were married on January 15, 1953 in Harrison, Arkansas. He proceeded her in death. She also was proceeded in death by her brother and four sisters.

They had two children, a son, Robert "Bobby" J. Fansler, he proceeded her in death in 2019. A daughter survives, Susan Michelle. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She also cared for many children in their home, a special child became like a daughter, Lori (Neel) Sparkman. Sue taught many children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for over sixty years and was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Miami, OK.
Sue loved her family, friends and church family with all her heart.
She enjoyed spending time with friends playing dominoes and bunco at the Senior Center.
Her greatest love was being able to take care of her Grandchildren, Ty Fansler (spouse Nalie), Emily Fansler and Kacey Carrigan. She also enjoyed her Great Grandchildren, Carsyn, Shae, Julia, Rikklynn, Rio, KinLee Sue, Linder, and Rylynn.
In the last few years she enjoyed traveling, eating out and spending time with her dear friend Edward J. Cole.


The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami, OK.

Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Mark Nickles and Travis Hurley officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, AR. Pallbearers will be David Fields, Dan Fields, Blaine Fields, Don Parker, Mike Payton, and Paul Bird. Honorary Pallbearers will be, John Banks, Fredas Cook, John Fields, Charlie Deaton, Dan Boswell, James Boswell

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Children's Department 228 H Street SE Miami, OK 74354 or Hospitality House PO Box 14472 Tulsa, OK 74159.
