Erma Joann (Arehart) Carpenter, 75, Vinita, OK passed away December 2, 2021 at St. Francis Health System after a sudden illness.
Erma Joann Arehart was born February 15, 1946 in Seneca, MO the daughter of Lawrence and Stella (Barker) Arehart. Joann formerly worked at the Jessie’s Truck Stop but mainly was a homemaker. She loved watching westerns, her dogs, being outdoors and spending time with her family. She was a member Emmanuel Church in Vinita, OK.
Survivors include her children, Mellissa Stites, Vinita, OK, Patty Thornburg, Richhill, MO, Becky Elmore, Higginsville, MO, Gerald Wilson Jr. Nevada, Mo, Loretta Wilson Richhill, MO and Alana Carpenter, state of OK; siblings, Norma Wolfe, Kansas City, MO, Merna Pickett, Carthage, MO, Delores Handley, Carterville, MO, LeVita McCloud, Rocky comfort, MO, Leonard Arehart, Carterville, MO and Larry Arehart, Carthage, MO; 25 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Gary Arehart, Jerry Arehart and Kent Arehart.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3pm, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO. Following the visitation the body will be taken for cremation.
