Obituary for Dorothy L. Wisdom

Dorothy L. (Norris) Wisdom, 86, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 11:00 PM, February 18, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin after a short illness.  Dorothy Louise Norris was born September 23, 1927 in Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of Tennis Isaac and Pearl Lucille (Slaughter) Norris.  Dorothy was a member of the Hart Baptist Church in Hart, MO and was a homemaker.  Dorothy married Shirley Wisdom June 30, 1946 in Girard, KS and he preceded her in death April 18, 2004 . She was also preceded death by her parents four brothers, Willard Norris, Chet Norris, Larry Norris and Eddie Norris; three sisters, Virginia Snell, Edith Hurlbert and Mary Lou Talley.  Survivors include one son, Roger Wisdom and wife Debby, Seneca; two daughters, Shirley Vansickle, River Forest, IL and Bonnie Denny and husband Bill, Urbana, IL; two sister-in-laws Sharon Norris, Pittsburg, KS and Edith Norris, Davenport, IA; two grandchildren Leigh Ann Kane and husband Jon and Misty Olson and husband Dan; two great-grandchildren, Ella Olson and Alec Olson.  Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Hart Baptist Church with Scott Hill and James Shope officiating. Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery with Mike Hurlbert, David Norris, Christopher Norris, Roger Mills, Doug Rogers and Robert Wetzel serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 7 PM, Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
