Dolores Joan Hollenbeck
Dolores Joan Hollenbeck, 84, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 12:48 am, October 8, 2014 at the Seneca House Nursing Home, Seneca after an extended illness. Dolores Joan Ray was born August 1, 1930 in Oak Park, IL the daughter of Hollis and Louise (Gillingham) Ray. Dolores worked at First Baptist National Bank in Miami, OK, 14 years. She was a member of the Calico Quilters Guild, Miami, OK, the Wyandotte Lioness Club and the First Christian Church, Fairland, OK. She was a past member of the BPW, Wyandotte, Ottawa County Home Extension Club and the Missionary Society - Seneca Christian Church. Dolores was the City Clerk for the City of Wyandotte, OK, 29 years until retiring at the age of 80. She also was the bookkeeper for the Wyandotte Volunteer Fire Department. Dolores Joan Ray married Ronald Hollenbeck, July 21, 1951 in Berryville, VA and he preceded her in death November 19, 1975. She was also preceded in death by one son Randy Ray Hollenbeck. Survivors include one son, Dean Hollenbeck, Emporia, KS; one daughter, Marsha Bates and husband Kent, Seneca, MO; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO will be held at 2:00 pm, October 11, 2014 at the Seneca Cemetery with Gary Radtke officiating. The body has been taken for cremation. In lieu of food and flowers donations can be made to the Wyandotte Volunteer Fire Department in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
