Desiree Bridges, age 43, passed peacefully from this life, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in her home in Goodman, MO.
She was born October 3, 1980, in Belton, MO, to David Chanslor and Lynda Langland. Desiree was a 1999 graduate of Neosho High School, then furthered her education at Missouri Southern State University, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Business and Marketing.
Desiree married Kyle Bridges on June 2, 2001 at Abundant Life Church in Neosho, Mo. and had two children. Desiree felt called to homeschool their children while living in Seneca, and continued when they moved to Kennedy family farm.
Desiree was a member of The Canopy Church, where she worked as Director of Hope Kitchen, and displayed her wonderful calling of being the hands and feet of Jesus. In all of her time on earth, she never stopped sharing the love of Jesus and serving others fully.
She always had an organized, full calendar of events, and a weekly menu planned and posted. Desiree loved to cook, and never met a stranger. She was blessed with the amazing gift to make you feel special and loved. You couldn't go far without seeing a post-it-note of a scripture or hearing her singing worship songs to her Savior. She was unapologetic about her faith, her love for her family, and her fierce patriotism for her country and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Desiree Bridges was preceded in death by her father, David Chanslor, and mother, Lynda Langland.
Survivors include her husband Kyle Bridges; children Joel and Nicole Bridges , Lauren Bridges;parents, Michael Langland, Wilma Chanslor , Mark and Debby Bridges; siblings Bethany and James Johnson, Leigh and Korey Brown, Tara Rew and Mahlon Rushly, Aimee and David Haley , Kirsten Langland, Jordan and Jill Langland, Cameron and Natalia Langland , Sherri and Dale Daugherty , Kensey and Rob Johnson, Kaleb Bridges and a host of extened family, friends, and a loving church family at The Canopy Church in Neosho, MO.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am, Saturday, February 24, 2024 at The Canopy Church in Neosho, MO. The casket will be closed at all times. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00am. A Private family burial will be at the Price Cemetery Goodman, MO, with Bethany Johnson, Jordan Langland, Leigh Brown, Tara Rew, Kirsten Langland and Cameron Langland serving as pallbearers.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hope Kitchen.
