Debbie Joane Cook, 72 of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on May 23, 2023, at Freeman Hospital, Neosho MO.
Debbie was born September 20, 1950, in Forrest City, AR. the daughter of Steven R. Halle and Dorothy J. (Lilly) Halle. Debbie graduated from Paris Jr. College with an associate degree in biology and then received her Accredited Medical Transcriptionist Certification in Auburn, WA; and practiced as a transcriptist at Auburn General in Auburn, WA. and Sacramento Med Center in California. She also volunteered as a genealogy researcher at the LDS library in Overland Park, KS. Debbie published several books on genealogy.
She had a passion for genealogy spending many hours in libraries and on the computer researching. Debbie enjoyed collecting/selling Legos and loved reading mysteries and science fiction in her spare time. She was a social person making friends easily--and she was a very good friend.
Michael Cook and Debbie were married on April 11, 1975, in Amarillo, Texas, (renewing their vows in 2022 in Seneca, MO.). Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, sister Victoria Rheudasil, and nephew Seth Rutherford.
Survivors include son Joseph Hallecook of Olathe KS.; 2 daughters, Lacey Cook of Neosho, MO.; Sabrina Warwick of Overland Park KS.; and a sister, Grace Rutherford of Royse City, Texas.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
