Cynthia (Cindy) Hansbrough, 59, Joplin, MO passed away May 7, 2022 at her home after an illness.
Cynthia Dee Fortner was born August 20, 1962 in Joplin, MO the daughter of Dallas G. and Barbara (Eddings) Fortner. Cindy was a lifelong area resident.
Cynthia D. Fortner married Gary W. Hansbrough April 20, 2002 in Miami, OK and he preceded her in death November 20, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her mother Barbara Fortner June 9, 2016 and her father Dallas Fortner June 26, 2021.
Cindy graduated from Seneca High School in 1980. She formerly worked for Eagle Pitcher in Seneca and Able Body in Joplin. She enjoyed fishing, crafts and drawing. Cindy loved spending time with her grandson Ace.
Survivors include two daughters; Callie Hilburn and husband Brad, Miami, OK and Chanae Fortner, Miami, OK; grandchildren Ace Abell, Miami, OK, Karina Abell, Miami, OK; two brothers; Randy Fortner and wife Darcy, Joplin, MO and Chris Fortner and wife Michele, Cassville, MO; and a host of extended family.
The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
