Cheryl K. Dixon, 76, Springfield, MO, passed into eternal rest June 16,2021 at Cox South in Springfield, MO after an illness.

Cheryl Kay Sutherly was born June 15,1945 in Troy, OH the daughter of Ralph and Corma Sutherly. Cheryl loved children and was a people person. She loved listening to Gospel music, playing cards and traveling. Cheryl formerly was an Elementary School Teach for the Seneca R7 School’s. Her favorite grade to teach was the first grade. She taught for Seneca from 1988 until she retired in 2003. After retirement she moved to Branson, MO and went to work at the Grand Country Jubilee where she worked in customer service for 10 years. Cheryl loved her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was very proud of her time teaching at Seneca and often talked about it at the Jubilee. Cheryl had a great faith, and she was devoted to her Lord and savior. Cheryl attended Branson Bible Church while living in Branson, MO.

Cheryl Kay Sutherly married the love of her life Larry Dixon April 20,1968 in Springfield, OH and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Corma Sutherly; two brothers, Glenn Sutherly and Carl Sutherly.

Survivors include two sons, Jason Dixon and wife Jennifer Springfield, MO and John Baker and wife Paula, Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Dakota Belk, Rylan Dixon, Autumn Baker and Delaney Dixon and one great-granddaughter Ella Baker.

A private graveside service is being held at the Seneca Cemetery, Seneca, MO.
