Obituary for Charles G. Green

Charles G. Green, loving husband, father and bompa, entered God’s kingdom Tuesday, May 22, 2012 after many years of poor health.    Charles was born October 26, 1926 to James and Ines Green in Mountain Grove, MO. He was one of eight children all of which has preceded him in death.    On June 29, 1946 Charles married the love of his life, Lois M. Foster. They were blessed with 65 years of marriage. To this union was born one daughter; Charlene and husband Dr. James Rowland of Seneca; three grandchildren, Greg Rowland and wife Jennifer of Seneca, Stacy Morris and husband Kevin of Shawnee, OK and Tracey Cherry of Seneca; Eight great-grandchildren, Wade, Chelsea, Savanah, McKenzie, Shelby, Jazmynn, Daniel and Emma.    Charles worked for Armour Packing Plant in Kansas City for 19 years.  In 1965 he and Lois purchased the Western Auto Store in Seneca. They ran the store for 14 years before retiring in 1979. Charles was a member of the Seneca Chamber of Commerce where he served as a past president for two years. He also served as President of the Armorur Social Club while in Kansas City.   Charles and Lois enjoyed many years of traveling in their motor home. He loved to fish, play horseshoes at the Seneca City Park and he loved his devoted dog Dolly. Charles was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church in Seneca. He loved his Church family and the members of his men’s Sunday School Class. Charles had a sense of humor second to none. He loved to make people laugh. His kind heart and loving spirit made him loved by all. He was truly the best husband, father and grandfather any family could ever have. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.  Comfort is taken in knowing that he is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and that now his body is whole again and all the pain is gone.   A Celebration of Life Graveside service under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Seneca Cemetery with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating.   Friends may call on the family from 6 t0 7 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
