Betty Lankford

Betty J. (Macy) Lankford, 80, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest at 8:20 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Betty Joan Macy was born February 22, 2013 in Neosho, MO the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Nutt) Macy.  She had lived in the area all her life working for the former Sale Memorial Hospital, the former Seneca News Dispatch and the Seneca R7 School District.  Betty loved cooking, animals and people.  She loved to spending time talking with people and especially loved her family .  Betty was a Christian. Betty J. Macy married Cecil T. Lankford September 30, 1950 in Neosho, MO and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her father and mother Charles and Hazel Macy; one son, Steven Lankford; one grand-daughter, Stephanie Lankford and three brothers, Wayne E. Macy, Garland Macy and Tommy Macy. Survivors include; one daughter, Angela Culbertson and husband Jeffery, Duenweg, MO; One son, Dennis Lankford and wife Lynn Ann, Neosho, MO and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to her nephew Wayne Macy. Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO, will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating.  The family will receive friends following the funeral services. Private burial will be in the New Salem Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions to be made to help with funeral expenses.
