Obituary for Betty Fisher

Betty J. Fisher, 81, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 5:10 AM, Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin after an illness.   Betty Jean Tennison was born May 8, 1930 in Monett, MO the daughter of Alva and Edna (Wise) Tennison. Betty had lived in the area most of her life. She had formerly worked as a cashier for G & W Foods in Seneca 26 years and the former Seneca Family Clinic for 14 years until retiring.  Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seneca.  Betty J. Tennison married Richard “Dick” Fisher and he preceded her in death Aug. 13, 1982.Survivors include three sons, Randy Fisher, Seneca, MO, Greg Fisher and Richard Fisher both of Nashville, TN; and 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Edna Tennison and one sister Mary May.  Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Seneca with Rev. Jim Wilson and Rev. Aaron Weibel officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM at the Church prior to the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with Rick Nicklas, Tim Johnson, Dan Johnson, Steve Johnson, John Johnson and Danny Ball serving as pallbearers.
