Betty Chester

Betty Jean (Robertson) Chester, 91, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest November 19, 2025 at the Seneca Home Place after a long illness.

Betty Jean Robertson was born May 16, 1934 in Seneca, MO the daughter of James N. and Ora Robertson. She graduated from Pilot Rock High School in Pilot Rock, OR. She loved to keep up on information through out the town. Betty loved people and playing cards with her friends. She was a faithful member of the Hottel Springs Church of Christ. Betty's church family was very important to her.

Betty Jean Robertson married Walter Perry Chester Nov 1, 1957 Pendleton, OR and he preceded her in death December 11, 1990. Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, her son Larry Chester, her sister Velda Cook, her brother, James Robertson and one brother-in-law Julian Furniss.

Survivors include two sisters, Peggy Timms and husband Stan, Hermiston, OR and Kathy Furniss, Pendleton, OR. Several nieces and nephews, extended family, her church family and friends.

A visitation for Betty will be held from 6-7pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.

A private burial will be at Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery next to her husband Walter Chester.

The family will hold a Memorial Service in the spring of next year date and time to be announced.
