Obituary for Arnold E. Moreland Jr.

Arnold E. Moreland Jr., 88, Neosho, MO, passed away July 20, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin after an illness.
Arnold Everett Moreland Jr. was born February 22, 1930 in Wilburton, KS the son of Arnold Moreland Sr. and Pearl (Clarkson) Moreland. Arnold served in US Air Force during the Korean War from 1953-1957. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he went to work for BF Goodrich in Miami, OK. In 1958 Arnold began serving the public with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Throughout the years he continued to serve the public by working at the Washington County District Attorney's Office and the Oklahoma State Auditor’s Office. After over 26 years of service with the State Of Oklahoma Arnold retired. Arnold then went to work as head of security for the Union Bank & Trust in Bartlesville, OK until he retired in 1989. Arnold was of the Baptist faith.
Arnold was preceded in death by his father and mother; two brothers, Roy Moreland and Jimmie Lee Moreland, and son-in-law Michael E. Bird.
Arnold E. Moreland married Fae Anna Johnson July 3, 1952 in Miami, OK and she survives.
Additional survivors include one daughter; Jane Ann Bird, Nowata, OK; one sister, Alice Moreland, Aurora, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7pm, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:30 am, July 25, 2018 at the Seneca Cemetery with Scott Pogue and Josh Branham officiating. Military Rites will be held at the cemetery.
