Arnold Merriman

  Arnold Robert Merriman Jr., 78, Seneca, MO, passed away August 24, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
  Arnold Robert Merriman Jr. was born September 25, 1946 in Seneca, MO the son of Arnold Merriman Sr. and Cinderella (York) Merriman. Arnold had lived in the area most of his life. He retired from New Mac Electric where he worked as a heavy machine operator. Arnold enjoyed being outdoors doing yard work, growing flowers and fishing. He enjoyed driving the back roads and reminiscing. Arnold cherished spending time with his family and friends.
  Arnold Robert Merriman Jr. married Gloria Jean Lee June 2, 1968 in Neosho, MO and she preceded him in death September 1, 2018. Also preceding him in death were his parents Arnold and Cindy; his brothers, JR Merriman, Claude Merriman and AJ Merriman; his sister Phyllis Reed.
  Survivors include three children; Laura L. Merriman and husband Gerald, Joplin; Joseph David Burwell and wife Tina, Seneca, MO; Arnold Robert (Rob) Merriman III and wife Amanda, Joplin, MO; one brother, Ted Merriman, Miami, OK; one sister, Emma Lou Atchison, Miami; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
  Cremation services will be handled under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
  The family will hold a celebration of life service 1:00 Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Pentecostal Life Center, 5505 Gateway Dr. Joplin, MO, with Pastor Jarrod Jones officiating.
