The Cook family lived across the field from us when I was a child and their children were small. We spent many hours with them, and they were just like part of our family. When I was 11 we moved, but continued our friendships for many years, as my Grandma Fritchey continued living next farm over. Vernon was always the first one to help round up a stray cow or whatever was needed, and babysitting was exchanged often between the Cooks and the Gilman families. We ate many meals together and spent many hours together when I was growing up. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love Sissy.
