Johnnie was my softball coach as a kid. I can easily recall her voice hollering at us girls in the outfield to "quit picking flowers and get your eyes on the ball!". She was a great coach and surrogate mom to all her players. She will definitely be missed.

Julie and I were on the same softball team for a couple of years. Johnnie was always in the stands, cheering (or yelling at us, as the situation required). I don't think she missed a game. All these years later, I have bumped into her from time to time, and always enjoyed chatting with her. I will miss her face. She always left me smiling.
